Zachary Scott Warman, "Zack" passed away unexpectedly in Baltimore, Maryland on August 14, 2015 at the age of 25. Zachary is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Amanda Warman of Daphne AL and Teresa and Bobby Schacht of Gloucester; his brothers, Nikolais and Garrett Warman, and Nicholas Schacht; grandparents, Sam and Maxine Pinello, Jack and Sue Warman, and Bob and Lois Schacht; aunts and uncles, Susanne Pinello, Rhonda Pinello, Nancy Schacht, Barbara Schacht, Stacey and Darrell Hart, and Roger Gunter; cousins, Ryan and Jillian Smith; his former wife, Brandi McCleod; his princess, Hege Ekvold; and lastly his precious dog Belka. Zachary, born July 7th 1990 in Newport News, VA to Jeffrey and Teresa Warman, graduated from York High School in 2009. In 2010 he married his high school girlfriend and worked for the County of York Storm-water Division prior to enlisting in the United States Navy in 2011. Zachary graduated from Naval Station Great Lakes in Chicago, IL, and then transferred to the Defense language Institute in Monterey California where he graduated with honors as a Russian Crypto Linguist. Zachary was stationed at the National Security Agency on Fort Meade where he collected, analyzed and exploited Russian language communications of interest to identify, locate and monitor worldwide threats in the defense of our nation. While at Fort Meade Zachary also undertook Naval Special Operation's skills and graduated from the Advanced Survive, Evade, Resist, and Escape (SERE) Training in Washington State, as well as completing The Naval Special Passenger Aviation Survival Course, and Naval Aviation Water Survival before leaving the Navy in 2015. Among Zack's qualities were a brilliant and curious mind which allowed him to study, discuss, and debate the works of the great philosophers and scientists of our time. Always adventurous and willing to challenge conventional thinking, Zachary was known for his spirited antics, wonderful sense of humor, deep loyalty to his friends, and his especially close bond with his Mother. Zachary touched the lives of so many and will be deeply missed and cherished in remembrance by all who were fortunate enough to share life with him. A memorial service with Navy honors is scheduled to honor Zack at 11:00 AM on Saturday Aug 29th at R Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave. Hampton VA. There will be a reception to follow at the home of Bobby and Terri Schacht- 7405 England Rd. Gloucester Point, VA.
