IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Yvonne Decarol
Bryson
December 12, 2016
A woman known for loyalty, openness, honesty, her love of life and people, Yvonne DeCarol Bryson, affectionately known as Von, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 12th, 2016.
She was born on September 3, 1957, from the union of Willie Newsome and Peggy Ann Toomer. She received her grade school education in Goldsboro, NC and later attended Winston-Salem State University. She then spent the best years of her life as a civil servant, transporting Air Force pilots to and from their assignments. She eventually retired from the Langley AFB Commissary, where she met some of the most wonderful people and forged many lifelong friendships.
Yvonne married William Bryson and was blessed with her oldest son, William Arthur Bryson Jr., in 1977, and later was blessed with the birth of her daughter, Jasmine Janea Bryson in 1986. Her children were her pride and joy. She endeavored to live life to the fullest while balancing her career and being a devoted mother. Von was known for her witty personality, making those around her laugh, and taking time to laugh and cry with loved ones.
Yvonne always held onto her dream of opening a rehabilitation and homeless program. Although her dream did not come to fruition, she took every opportunity to help those in need. Faced with the increasing physical challenges of her illness, she spent the last days of her life at home with her children and passed away in her sleep.
Yvonne DeCarol Bryson leaves to cherish her memory, two children; William Arthur Bryson Jr. ('T' or Tauri) and Jasmine Janea Bryson (Jazz), her beloved Father; Willie Newsome, loving Brother; Willie Harold Toomer; her wonderful aunt; Helen Toomer, niece; Ebony Artis; numerous cousins and special friends. May her soul forever rest in peace.
