IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wyonna Faye
Goodman
February 15, 2014
On Saturday, February 15, 2014, our mom took dad's hand and he led her home. Wyonna F. Goodman, 75, was surrounded by her family. A native of Logan, West Virginia, she had been a Hampton Roads resident for more than 54 years where she was a member of Hampton Roads Baptist Church and was a private caregiver for many years. She loved Christmas and making Christmas ornaments. She made beautiful flower arrangements, enjoyed shopping and always enjoyed a trip to Atlantic City or Dover to go gambling. More than anything she loved being with her babies and grandbabies. Mom, also known affectionately as "Momaw" to many, was the most caring and loving person and we were blessed to call her mom.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jack Goodman, Jr., her parents, Susie and Roy Johnson, and two brothers, Freddy and Tiny Johnson; survivors include her children, Jackie Brown, Coretta Coleman (Richard), Terri Johnson (Mike), Greg Goodman (Kellie), and Kim Littlefield (David); thirteen grandchildren, Brian Rountree ( Amy), Danny Rountree (Andrea), Jessica Brown, Lee Stephens (Steve), Chrissy Steger (Scott), Michael Johnson, Jennifer Johnson, Greg Goodman, Jr. (Jessica), Jacob Goodman, Jonathan Littlefield (Krissy), Katie Littlefield (Mike), Tiffany Coleman, and Jody Ulrich; thirteen great-grandchildren, Jenna, Justin, Brandon, Hunter, and Dalton Rountree, Julian Zinni, Carter Gilbert, Kelsie Stephens, Penny Steger, McKenzie Littlefield, Michael Fisher, Jr., and Beth and Brook Ulrich; her sister, Ordella Bailey of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; and her brother, Roy Johnson of Columbus, OH.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel by Pastor Becky Holland. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Community Care, 1064 Loftis Blvd, Newport News, VA 23606.
