Obituary
Wm. Russell Clinton's journey ended on December 3, 2015, following a three-year struggle to beat cancer on his own terms.
Russ was born in Boston, MA, on July 29, 1978, to Doree Fitzhugh and Wm. Hal Clinton. His passion for sports and statistics developed and continued throughout his loyal following of the New England trifecta: Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics.
Russell is survived by both parents, his son Nathan Andrew Clinton, his fiancée Jessica Wilson, and her son Joshua Wilson; his stepfather, stepsister, and brother, Rusty Fitzhugh, Ashley and Austin Fitzhugh. For their special care and support throughout this ordeal, the family thanks Lillian Eastman, Cara (Riley) and the entire team at the Paint Supply Company. It is impossible to name the endless number of friends who were the foundation and pillars holding him up, but we all know who you are and sincerely thank you. We also will be forever grateful to the entire staff of Virginia Oncology and MCV.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 pm Thursday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 5-6 pm.
