Wilma Arlene L. Newton, 89, of Midlothian, VA went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 14, 2022.

She is survived by three children, Rick Newton (Jo) of Atlanta, GA, Carrie Pollock (Ernie) of Hampton, VA, John Newton (Kathleen) of Midlothian, VA; two sisters, Juanita Williams of Concord, NC, Anna Mae Bowman of Midlothian, VA; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe R. and Wilma C. Leighty; her husband of 65 years, Earl Newton; one son, Joe Newton; and one daughter-in-law, Faye Newton.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Sentara Home Care Services, Sentara Hospice Services, and Home Helpers of Hampton for their kindness and excellent care.

A Celebration of Mrs. Newton's Life will be held on March 6, 2022, at 2:00pm, at Powhatan United Methodist Church, 2253 Rosson Road, Powhatan, VA 23139.
