William "Bill" Thomas Veneris, 65, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014. A lifelong resident of Hampton, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, then graduated from the Newport News Apprentice School in 1975. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 540, for which he was a two term Past President. Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carol D. Veneris; son, Greg H. Veneris; daughter, Trina Ruple; sisters, Jackie Nelms, June Collie and Patsi May; brother, Nick Veneris and four grandchildren. The family wishes expressions of sympathy to take the form of contributions to the Peninsula S.P.C.A. 523 J. Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.
