Obituary
HAMPTON - William V. Jones, 78, passed away on June 18, 2017. Born in Terre Haute, Indiana, he has been a resident of Hampton for over forty years. Before coming to Hampton, he proudly served in the US Army for twenty years where he retired in 1978. He then became a welder at Howmet, from which he also retired. William is survived by his wife, Chilsun "Kim" Jones, and daughter Starla Dawn Jones. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, June 22, 2017 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave., in downtown Hampton, 757-723-3191.
