Bill Hazelwood, 71, born in Newport News, Virginia died unexpectedly at his Ranch in Arizona on Sunday, September 11, 2016. He was retired as a business entrepreneur.
He is survived by his first wife, Jean Luce; their daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Greg Anderson; and his brother, Robert Hazelwood.
Bill lived his life to the fullest and traveled all over the world; he was involved with charities, Christian outreach programs and supported orphanage abroad. He had many hobbies including flying small planes, boating, spending time at his Ranch but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 24th in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park where Bill's parents and grandparents are buried. A Celebration of Life reception will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glover, friends of Robert Hazelwood. Dad - I will miss your sense of adventure for Life and cherish all our memories - You will be greatly missed.
