William J. Grumbling, Jr., 67, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024.  Red to friends and family, was born in Hampton on October 30, 1957.  He worked at Newport News Shipbuilding as a welder, retiring after 40 years.  Red loved to fish and play the lottery.

Preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Grumbling and brother, Richard; he is survived by his sister, Tina Grumbling, brother, Charles Grumbling; as well as numerous cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank Sue (Donovan) Gallegos for taking care of their brother for the last five years and for always being at his beck and call. Thank you to everyone else for being so good to him, for bringing meals, and for fixing things for him.  He will be missed.

A graveside service will be held Monday, July 15, 2024 at 1PM at Parklawn Memorial Park.
