William Clark Gibson, 84, of Fort Monroe, Va, passed away at home surrounded by his family on the morning of July 25, 2019. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa on April 24, 1935. A son of the late Robert and Gertha Gibson. Husband to the late Judy S. Gibson of Pittsburgh. Surviving are his wife Moncia Schuck Gibson and children William R. Gibson and his wife Allison of Morgantown, WV, Lori Gibson Heginbotham and her husband Gary of Morgantown, WV, Kathleen Gibson Reilly and her husband Mike of Waxhaw, NC, and Thomas Gibson of Atlanta ,GA and step children Christine Schuck Long and husband Joe of McLean, VA, Monica Schuck Cullen and husband R. Dennis of Maplewood, NJ, and the late Russell A. Schuck and wife Allison of Hingham, MA. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren.
At the request of Mr. Gibson, he will be cremated. There will be a Celebration of Life services held at The Chamberlin, in Fort Monroe, VA on Monday, July 29 11:00am-12:00pm. A graveside service will be scheduled for sometime in November and will be held in Edenton, NC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sentara Hospice Greater Peninsula or The Judy Gibson Scholarship Fund at St. Annes Catholic Church.
