William R. Cash, Jr. 82, died February 27, 2018. He retired from the US Air Force in 1974 after 20 years of service then went to work for the civil service retiring in 1996. He was a member of Army Navy Lodge #306, the Scottish Rite Bodies and was past President of the Peninsula Shrine Club.

Preceded in death by his son, William R. Cash, III; he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Johanna Russell Cash; his daughter, Katherine Marie Cash-Bolt and her husband, Timothy J. Bolt; nine brothers and sisters; and the Romeos of the Willow Oaks McDonalds.

The family would like to thank the rescue personnel at the Willow Oaks Fire Station #7 and the nurses and doctors at the SICU at Riverside Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service with Air Force honors will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran's Cemetery in Suffolk. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-7pm at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with Masonic rites at 7pm.
