William "Sherrill" Barbrey, 75, of Hampton, VA passed away October 6, 2016 .  He was born in Clinton, NC on February 23, 1941. Family, dancing and traveling were among his favorite things.  He is survived by his wife Linda, his children Gena, Pam, Dennis and Angi; grandchildren Nick, Siena and Tyler; sister Joyce and brother Jerry. He was beloved, and will be missed, by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife Pat, his brother Red and his parents Beulah and Marvin.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6-7:30 pm at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with interment to follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
