Wells Edward
Henifin
June 16, 1989 – May 15, 2026
First Presbyterian Church
1:00 - 4:00 pm (Eastern time)
All birds fly home, finally Woody is safe. Wells Edward Henifin finished his work here on earth Friday May 15, 2026, at the age of 36.
He is a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and most of all a loyal and generous friend. A walking paradox (no, he’s not), Wells was Wells. His eccentric, contradictory nature was equally maddening and endearing. Truly an (n of 1).
Wells’s playfulness and quick wit put anyone drawn into his orbit at ease. He was never better than anyone, didn’t compete with anyone; he just wanted to be around people. He loved Legos, sharing music with Jimmy, gaming on his PS4 with Ethan, collecting Pokémon cards and Tek decks, his peoples’ animals, and yes, he also loved drugs - the drugs took him in the end. He wasn’t alone.
A talented artist with his own sense of fashion style, he rarely conformed to societal norms. The overarching theme is the generosity shown towards the people in his life. His smile was infectious and his heart oversized. A gentle, loving, innocent spirit.
Woody is missed by so many people. He is survived by his parents Pam and Ted, his little brother Jimmy, his grandmother Lil, many loving uncles, aunts, and cousins. He is also survived by the loves of his life Edita and Ethan. Woody was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Pappap, his paternal grandparents Grandma and Grandpa, and his long-time four-footed best friend Nugget.
Pam and Ted want to thank the many people who helped Woody navigate life with this disabling disease. He never walked alone.
Family will host a celebration reception in the Upstairs Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church Hampton on June 20, 2026, from 1 – 4 PM. Come as you are.
