Waverly "Red Baby" Routten, 87, died Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Born and raised in Fox Hill, he was a life member of the Fox Hill Volunteer Fire Department having been a member for 73 years and had served as Chief for 43 of those years. He was also a 50 year member of Monitor Lodge #197.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Ann Routten, his parents, John and Mary E. Routten, and his brother, Carl Routten. Survivors include his children, Pamela Smoot (Roy), Bobby Routten (Theresa), and Tommy Routten (M'Lissa); his brother, Phil Routten; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at ___ on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Clark Cemetery.
