Wanda B. Anthony, died October 8 , 2023. She was longtime resident of Hampton. Wanda worked as a manager at Bill's BBQ until 1998. She loved her family, and was known for being incredibly hard working and her love of baking. She was an amazing mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Anthony Jr., daughter, Lori Pettaway; sisters, Jean Gibson, Gwen Combs, Joyce Kolias, and Sherry Hall; brothers Gene Hall and Keith Hall. She is survived by her children, Angie Gurley (Woody) and Al Anthony (Tracey); sisters, Blanche Brandon, Peggy Costa, Meta Hummel, Barb Handshoe; grandchildren, Jasmine Bass (Shawn), Mark Gurley, Aaron Pettaway (Laurie), Conner Winston, Taylor Gurley, Cameron Pettaway, and Jalynn Anthony; great-grandchildren, Caleb Bass, Jonaven Pettaway, Caleyanna Pettaway, and Kingston Pettaway.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 3PM at Parklawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
