Virginia Rodriguez-Sola entered into God's eternal kingdom on December 16, 2023. She was born to Marcial Rodriguez and Maximina Diaz on September 23, 1950 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Virginia devoted her life to raising her children and caring for her home until her children were grown. Afterwards she went on to become a CNA where she loved caring for the elderly and serving as a home health care specialist. When she started her cleaning business she knew that if she worked hard and took care of people she could achieve her goal of owning her own home, and she did exactly that. Virginia loved serving God's people in many ways. She loved singing in the choir at St. Joseph Catholic Church and volunteering with both the food pantry and community outreach. She was known to go to the underserved areas on the Peninsula and pass out food, clothing, and supplies to the homeless and those in need. Virginia was a talented baker and her children remember the wonderful cookies, pies, and cakes that she would make for them and friends. She was very crafty and loved to host in her home. Family and friends were always amazed by how she repurposed items into wonderful decorations and artwork for her home.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Marcial and Maximina; sister, Cecilia Rodriguez and brother, Enrique Rodriguez. Survivors include her children, Candido J. Sola and Veronica Sola-Ziegler; grandchildren, Karina A. Sola-Wright, Selena R. Sola-Wright, Brianna N. Sola-Grimes, and Javier A. Sola; sisters, Emma Rodriguez, Gladys Rodriguez, Norma Rodriguez, Ruth Rodriguez, Rosa Rodriguez, and Alicia Diaz; brother, Francisco Rodriguez; and a large extended family that she loved dearly.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church on a date to be announced. Inurnment in the columbarium at St. Bede's Catholic Church will follow.
