Virginia Sullivan McAllister (Dinny) 1935-2018 passed away on February 8, 2018. She was predeceased by her beloved husband William E. McAllister (Mac) and her parents, Hal Norman Sullivan and Barbara Anne Sullivan. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara M. Gilliland (Husband Sam), Maggie M. Williams (husband Richard). Her grandchildren, Barbara Pierce, Samuel Hal Gilliland, Madeline S. Gilliland and her great grandson, Waylon Edward Wagner and beloved niece, Betsy McAllister of Hampton, Va and her much loved dog Zoey, and multiple family and friends in Paducah Ky.

Dinny was her children's biggest fan, never missing a ball game, dance recital or school function. Dinny graduated from Columbia College and loved being an Army wife. She was a past president of the Officer's Wives Club and the Altar Guild of the Chapel of the Centurion at Ft Monroe. She was part of the Committee that was instrumental in the installation of the

"Ruth Window" at the Chapel Casemate on Ft Monroe.

Arrangements are private through Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
