Virginia Mae King, 90, died Saturday, April 29, 2023. Born in Winston-Salem, NC, she lived in Wingate, NC for many years until moving to Hampton to be closer to her son. A dedicated wife and mother, caring for others gave her much joy. She loved cooking, crocheting, and crossword puzzles, but most of all she loved the Lord and going to church when she was able.

Preceded in death by her husband, Houston King and her brothers, Raymond and Eugene Bell; survivors include her son David Stanley King and his wife, Sherry and Timothy Arthur King; two grandsons, Matthew King and wife, Laura and Daniel King and wife, Alicia; and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Nathaniel King.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Fox Hill Road Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Nathan Cecil officiating. Interment will be private.
