Obituary

Victoria Lee Harms, 34, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013. Born in Clinton, MD, she has been a resident of the Peninsula for three years.

Victoria had a Masters Degree in Educational Technology and was formerly a teacher of Special Education Classes in the Yorktown Public School System. She was also a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church and a dedicated volunteer for all of her children's sports teams and activities.

Surviving are her husband of 12 years, Dwayne D. Harms; children, Dillon, Samantha, Joshua and Alexis; parents, Judy and Robert Palmer; brothers, Justin Ball and Jimmy Mahan; and she is also survived by Cheryl Ball, David Ball, and Jimmy Mahan, Sr.

Victoria's life will be remembered and celebrated, 2:00 PM Saturday, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, in Newport News. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions made to Resurrection Lutheran Church, c/o The Victoria Harms Scholarship Fund, 765 J. Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.
