TSgt Frederick Earl Miller 76, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Lawtons, NY, Fred was the son of the late Wesley and Alvina Miller. A 22 year U.S. Air Force Retired Veteran, he had been a resident of Hampton for 22 years. He also worked as a Letter Carrier for the U. S. Postal Service, retiring in 1996 after 9 years.  He was a life member of the VFW Post 3219 in Phoebus and Hampton Moose Lodge Post 1514.

Fred was preceded in death by his son, Robert Taber and sister, June Ball.  He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Anita C. Miller; children, Theresa Bergum of Angola, NY; Tye Miller and wife Kathy of Newport News; brother, David Miller and wife Kathy of Collins, NY; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A passionate full time RV traveler, Fred and his wife spent the last 15 years traveling, making new friends and enjoying retirement.

A graveside service will be conducted 10am Friday at Parklawn Memorial Park by Rev. David T. Hampton.  The family wishes in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Riverside Hospice, 856 J. Clyde Morris Boulevard, Suite C, Newport News, VA 23601 .
