Travis Christopher Reed of Hampton, Virginia, passed away at 36 years old on December 4, 2019, in Virginia Medical Center due to a prolong illness. Travis was born in Camp Springs, Maryland, on August 29, 1983. He was raised in Hampton, Virginia. He graduated from Phoebus High School in 2001 and went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master's of Public Administration from Troy University. While employed by Zel Technologies in Hampton, Virginia, he earned his Project Management Professional Certification (PMP). Travis' desire for learning had never stopped; always a student himself. He truly enjoyed the sport of basketball,football and soccer. His overwhelming devotion and love for his only daughter never wavered. He leaves behind many who deeply loved and admired him, including his mother Frances (Robbie), his daughter Cayla Elizabeth, his brothers Juan and Patrik, sister Sherraffaz, fiancee I-Sharii Best, a step-brother, James, Jr., and step-sister Crystal. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of cousins, aunts and uncles, along with his many friends who were recipients of his loyalty and his everlasting friendship and devotion. When it came to his friends, no deed was too large. Travis will be missed by many, many people and his passing leaves a hole in the hearts that many feel will never close.

The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 6-7:30PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 10:30AM at Ivy Baptist Church, 50 Maple Ave, Newport News, VA 23607.
