Tracy Moore passed away on Friday, Aug. 11 at Sentara in Hampton. She was born on March 31, '62 in Savannah GA. She lived in several areas of the world prior to settling in Hampton where she educated students in Hampton Roads for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her father & mother, William (Bill,) and Dorothy (Dottie) Erickson. She is survived by her only son, Jonathan Moore; brother Mark Erickson; nephew, David Erickson; niece Mary Tibbs and her daughter Lola Hibbitts.

Tracy moved around during childhood while her father was in the USAF, however she graduated in the final class of Pembroke High School in Hampton. While in school, she always excelled in fitness and education, and was passionate about cheer. Tracy taught in several places during her lifelong education career including Germany, Texas, Colorado, and Hampton Roads where she retired in 2022. Her impact has been felt by thousands of students and colleagues across the World.

The family invites you to join them at any of these services and gatherings. Sunday 8/20 4-8 PM her son invites family, friends, and colleagues of both his and Tracy's to his home in Elizabeth City. Monday 8/21, 6-7:30 PM a viewing will be held at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in Hampton, Tuesday 8/22, 11:00 AM a funeral will be held at the funeral home. Friday, 8/25, 6:00 PM there will be a beachside memorial service at the Clark Street Beach Access in Kill Devil Hills, NC.
