Obituary

Tommy Davis, 83, went home to be with Jesus peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2024. Born in Asheville, NC, to Paul and Nena Davis, he was the youngest of four children. He was a longtime resident of Hampton, where he made many lasting friendships. Tommy proudly served in the US Army and worked for Dixie Diggs, Tidewater Fleet, and Hops, where he became known for his strong work ethic and commitment. He was a good friend, and a loving man.

Known affectionately as "Mr. Papaw" by the neighborhood kids, Tommy's warm and caring nature left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He was also a devoted member of Liberty Live Church.Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathie Davis; his parents, Paul and Nena Davis; and his siblings, Jerry, Don, and Judy. He is survived by his loving daughters, Wendy and her husband Ed Huff, and Kelly and her husband Jon Moneymaker; his devoted son, Matt and his wife Lynn Davis; and his six cherished grandchildren, Elise Feldt, Sara and Ethan Moneymaker, and Abram, Meadow, and Makaio Davis. He also leaves behind three adored great-grandchildren, Cedar Davis and Avi and Everette Feldt.Tommy's kindness, commitment, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Memorial services will be held on July 13th at 2pm at Liberty Live, 1021 Big Bethel Road, Hampton, VA 23666. Memorials may be made to the Missions Fund at Liberty Live.
