Thomas R. Hagner Jr., began life in Norfolk in 1944.  Complications of Parkinson's Disease ended that life on December 18 in Newport News.  His work as a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer took him all over the country and around the world, and he was proud of his cutting edge, patented accomplishments in commercial ship building.

He was devoted to his family – wife Andrea, daughter Catherine, sons John and Andrew, daughter-in-law Kerry, and his grandchildren Abigail and Luke.  He also leaves behind a brother, Paul, and beloved nieces and nephews – Todd, Amanda, Kate, Angela, Jennifer, Salvatore, Michael, and Caitlin. The whole family is grateful to Juli Fisk, who helped care for him this year with love and compassion.  He was a longtime member of Unitarian Universalist Fellowships.

There will be a celebration of Tom's life on Saturday, Dec 23 at the Poquoson Yacht Club -- 417 Messick Road, Poquoson at 1 pm.  In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Planned Parenthood or another charity of your choosing.
