Terry Lee Thomas Sr. passed away in Yorktown, VA on July 16th, 2022. Terry was born on July 18, 1957 to Eaurma Jean Milsap and Walter Lee Mosby Jr. in Memphis, TN. Terry grew up in Chicago Heights, Illinois; where he graduated from Rich Central High school in Olympia Fields Illinois. A day after his high school graduation Terry enlisted into the U.S Navy for 4 years, in 1981 Terry reenlisted into the U.S Air Force for 21 years. In 2002, Terry retired from the Air Force as a E-7 Master Sergeant, then 5 years later he joined the Defense Logistics Agency in Richmond, VA which he retired from in 2021 Terry was very proud and committed to being a 32nd Degree Mason. Terry loved traveling, partying, riding his motorcycle, and spending quality time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Terry Lee Thomas Sr. is survived by his wife Hilda Thomas; children, Crystal Thomas, Jamel Thomas, Terry Thomas Jr. and Faith Thomas; his mother, Eaurma Jean Millsap; siblings, Daryl Robinson, Judy Misch, Beverly Robinson, Madelyn Drake, Lucille Mosby, Monica Saffold (James) Omaha (NE), Walter L Mosby III (Belinda), Lisa Mosby-Oke (Joseph), Raymond L Mosby (Lila), Wendy Bernstein (Larry) West Palm Beach, FL; five grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; Walter Lee Mosby Jr. and June Mosby and his sisters, Marsha Robinson and Terri Lynn.

The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 11-12PM. A funeral service will follow at noon. Interment with military honors will follow at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk at 3PM.
