Teresa Faye Matthews Lewis passed away Monday, September 3, 2018. Born to Linwood and Georgia Christine Matthews, October 13, 1955, she resided in Hampton, VA. She graduated from Hampton High School in 1974, afterwards she married W. Terry Lewis on May 26, 1979.

Teresa was preceded in death by her son, Cody Lewis. She is survived by her husband Terry, and her brothers; Rommie, Lin, and Wayne Matthews. She is survived by her sons and daughter; Terry and wife Ginny Lewis of Hampton, Jeremy and wife Amanda Lewis of Cameron, NC, Corey Peck of Hampton, and Jacob Lewis of Hampton. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren. Teresa devoted her life to caring for her children, grandchildren, and other family members.

A funeral service to celebrate Teresa's life will be held Saturday, September 8th at 3pm at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23669. The family will receive friends prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Bon Secours Hospice Ministry.
