Sylvia Bordeaux Moore, 92, died Sunday, July 12, 2015. Born in Leland, NC she lived there until moving to Hampton in 1994. She had been the church organist there at First Baptist Church of Leland, NC for 60 years and then was the organist of Fox Hill Road Baptist Church for 20 years after moving to Hampton. Mrs. Moore is survived by her sons, Joseph McLane Moore of Chesapeake and Donald Graham Moore of Hampton; grandchildren, Joseph McLane Moore, Jr. of Norfolk and Tanya Rodriguez of Martinsburg, WV; and 5 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 7 PM, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton. The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday from 6-7 PM. Interment will be Friday, 11 AM, in First Baptist Church of Leland Cemetery.
