Sylvia "Ann" Thomas Hilling passed away May 8, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She cherished her family more than anything and was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her children, Tommy, Barbara, Elizabeth, and John Jr.; grandchildren, Jennifer, Brian, Jonathan, Michelle, and Christy; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, John W. "Billy", her mother, May Thomas, father, AJ Thomas, and brothers, George, and Johnny. She retired from the U.S. Civil Service at Norfolk Naval Base. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 15, 6:00 - 7:00 pm at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Thursday, May 16, 11:00 am at Parklawn Memorial Park, conducted by David Cox.
