Sylvester Ruffin, age 79, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015. Born in Georgia, Sylvester has been a resident of Newport News since 2004. Sylvester retired from Sears after serving over 20 years as an automotive technician. He enjoyed farming as well as fishing and hunting with his friends. He is survived by his wife, whom he loved dearly, Ruby; daughters Renee Berry(Sammie); Regina Collins (Darryl); Renessa Perry (Emery); son Tony Talley (LaVerne); 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff at Hampton Riverside PACE, the Gardens at Warwick Forest, and the Comfort Care staff at Riverside Regional Medical Center.
