Mike Adam, 83, passed away peacefully and went home to his Lord on July 20, 2022; he was surrounded by his wife and two sons.   Sarge was a career soldier in the US Army for 33 years. He was a Vietnam veteran; and served multiple tours in Korea and Kansas before finally retiring at Fort Monroe in 1990.  Sarge loved working with computers, hunting, fishing, and doing jigsaw puzzles on his iPad almost as much as he loved his family.

Preceded in death by his two sister, Mary Ellen Adams and Patricia A. Assenheimer, he is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Cheryl Adam; his two sons, Dennis (Jessica) and Joseph Adam; his brother, Phillip Thomas Adam; three grandchildren, one great-grand daughter, and eight nieces and nephews.

Sylvest Mike Adam's funeral service will be held at 11 AM on August 9 at Zion Baptist Church, 125 W County Street, Hampton, followed by interment with full military rights at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
