Susan Lewis Lindsey, 64, went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2021. Susan was born and raised in Hampton, Virginia, living in the Fox Hill area. She graduated from Kecoughtan High School and received an Associate Degree from Thomas Nelson Community College. Susan worked with the Department of Defense in several different locations and retired from Civil Service with the Department of Defense in 2004, after 29 years. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents Irvin J. Lewis and Jean Wright Lewis. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Elmer "Gene" Lindsey; children, Cameron Lindsey, Kelley Allen (Joel) and Brian Lindsey (Diane); brother, Wesley Lewis (Lori); grandchildren, Daniel Lindsey, Rachel Lindsey Ivey, Samuel Allen, Hannah Allen Alexander and Andrew Lindsey; and nephews, Clinton Lewis and Chase Lewis.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Clark Cemetery in Hampton, by Pastor Joe Hunt. To watch the service, live online, please CLICK HERE at 10:55 am Wednesday.
