Hampton,

Sunday Maier 80, loving Mother, Sister, and Nona, departed the life on Monday, April 9, 2018, after a long courageous battle with cancer.  Born in Vicenza, Italy, she was a longtime resident of Hampton.

Sunday retired from K-Mart Corp. as a retail manager and she was a seamstress at Lisa's Alterations, both in Hampton.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Buckroe.  She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her cherished family.

Sunday was preceded in death by her parents Giacomo and Anna Mancuso and numerous siblings.  She is survived by her sons, Steve and Robert Maier; four grandchildren; and her sister, Lisa Grose.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church by Rev. Msgr. Walter C. Barrett.
