Sujin Kim Cavanaugh, 57, passed away January 16, 2016. Born in Seoul, South Korea, after earning her U.S. citizenship, she went on to work for the Department of Defense as a seamstress. Sujin loved to sew both at home and at work. During her long career, she made draperies for the Virginia Governor's mansion as well as worked for Colonial Williamsburg. In her free time she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Jason Cavanaugh; sister, Nancy Kim; and brother, Bong Su Kim.

The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home Friday, January 20, 2017 from 4-7PM.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 3PM.
