Stuart Bridges, 63, died Thursday, December 26, 2024. Born in Hampton, Stuart attended Kecoughtan High School, joined the US Navy for a brief time, and then he went on to work on fishing boats, which he loved.

Preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Ella Mae Bridges; he is survived by his daughter, Sarah M. Bridges of Denver, CO; two sisters, Cheryl Elder (Steve) of Hampton and Valerie Moore (David) of Newport News; two grandchildren, Allen Davis and Jazmine "Jazzy" Bridges both of Denver, CO; a nephew, Andrew Elder of Alexandria, VA; two aunts, Shirley Bailey of Acworth, GA and Lucille Mater of Daleville, VA; and many cousins.

All services will be private.
