Stephen G. Scotti, 93, died Thursday, March 2, 2017. Born in Villamaina, Italy on June 29, 1923 he moved to the United States at 6 months of age. Steve spent more than 47 years in service to his country, first on active duty in the Army and then the Army civil service. He was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, serving in various ministries including as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and Haiti Twinning Ministry. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially golfing and playing poker, and the occasional trip to Dover, DE to play the slot machines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicola and Giovannia Scotti; his wife, Mary J. Scotti; his brothers, Vincent Scotti and his two wives, Hattie and June, and Nick Scotti and his wife, Helen; his sisters, Grace Williamson and her husband, Jackie, and Theresa Giambusso. Survivors include his children, Stephen G. Scotti, Jr. and his wife, Julia; Stephanie M. Scotti and her husband, John Frackoviak; Leilani Scotti- Powell and her husband, George; a sister, Joanne Arinella and her husband, Robert; a brother-in-law, Angelo Giambusso; four grandchildren and their spouses, Stephen James Scotti, James and Megan Frackoviak; Michael Frackoviak and Jill Witte; Megan Monroe, and four great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Wyatt, Isabella and Riley.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 10, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church by Rev. Sean Prince. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass beginning at 10 AM, and at a reception following the mass in the church commons.
