Stephen Michael Bone, Sr., 65, a native of Raleigh, NC, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015 in his home surrounded by his loved ones. A member of Fox Hill Road Baptist Church, he worked at the shipyard for 38 years and enjoyed sports, fishing and hunting, but most of all he loved his family, his church and his pets. Preceded in death by his grandparents, William E. and Vivian Pearl Bone, his father, Bill Edgar Bone, and his brother, William Eddie Edgar Bone, III; survivors include his wife of 42 years, Rose Mary Bone; his mother, Luine L. Buie Bone; his sons, William Paul A. Bone and Stephen Michael Bone, Jr. and his wife, Devin; his grandchildren, India and Nolon Bone; his sister, Cynthia Munn; his brothers, Donald Bone and Kenneth Bone; and a lot of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Fox Hill Road Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Larson. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-8 Wednesday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
