Stephanie Ann Ware, 37, died on Saturday, August 2, 2025, after a long, hard-fought illness at the Hume-Lee Transplant Center at VCU. Born in Roanoke, VA, she grew up in Hampton where she attended Kecoughtan High School and had worked at Smitty's Better Burger and at the concession stand at Langley Speedway. In recent years, she had lived in Rescue, VA and worked at Advance Auto in Smithfield. She was also a Den mother for cub scout troop 7 in Smithfield, where she assisted in many camping trips through the years.

She was a loving mother to Gabriel Woodson Perry and Emily Ann Perry; daughter to Barbara Ann Ware; and sister to siblings, Mary Lois Ware, Christopher Cody Boyd, and Sara Christine Boyd. Also mourning her passing are Robert Perry; and his parents, John and Beverley Perry of Rescue, VA. She was the funniest and sweetest person and will be dearly missed.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at St. Luke's Cemetery in Smithfield.
