Heaven gained a beautiful Angel on January 16, 2018 with the passing of SMSgt Joseph Anthony Pardi (USAF Retired). Born in Pittston, PA, he has been a resident of Hampton since 1968.Joe retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1979 after 27 years, which include service during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.   He was a faithful and dedicated member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where he was a eucharistic minister.

Joe is survived by his wife of 66 years who was also the love of his life for over 70 years, Rose Pardi.  He is also survived by his son, Joe Carl Pardi; daughters, Karen Harrington and her husband John and Rosanne Ashberry-Howard and her husband Tom; and grandchildren, Austin Ashberry and Kara Edwards and her husband Evan.  For Joe Pardi (Papa), his children and his grandchildren were the light of his life.

Papa was the most loving,selfless, caring husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor. His guidance to family and friends was an inspiration to all who knew him.  The love he had for his wife, Rose, was an inspiration to his children, grandchildren and extended family.  His circle of friends was vast since there was hardly anyone Papa couldn ' t relate to or talk with.  He was so loved by many.  Papa left this world surrounded by family and in the most peaceful way possible.  Although the family is shattered by his passing, we also also rejoice because is no longer in pain and suffering,and has entered a much better place then we can even begin to imagine.
