Shirley Jean Seidnitzer, 76, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2017.  Born and raised in South Carolina, she married Bernard J. Seidnitzer on Feb 9, 1932 and was married to him until his death on December 1, 2012.  She was a longtime resident of the Peninsula where she was formerly a waitress for Shoney's and Sammy and Nick's.
Shirley is survived by her son, Ray A. Seidnitzer; brother, Ralph Baggett and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Thursday, August 3, 2017, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave. in Hampton, 757-723-3191.
