Shirley Lois M. Esada, 91, died August 21, 2025. Born in Hartford, Connecticut she was a longtime resident of Hampton. Shirley worked for Best Products for many years before enjoying a career as an activities director at a local nursing home. She loved her family and was a devoted wife and mother. Shirley was known for her love of arts and crafts, gardening, and baking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyman and Viola Mackenzie; husband, John Esada Sr.; and one great-granddaughter. She is survived by her sons, John Esada Jr. and Lee Esada; grandchildren, Christopher Esada and Nathasha Sok; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on Monday, August 25 from 5-7PM. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 26 at 2PM at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
