Shirley L. Lukerson, 57, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Saturday January 4, 2014. A lifelong resident of Newport News, VA., she will be remembered for her kind heartedness and giving spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Elizabeth Lukerson and six siblings. She leaves to cherish in her memory a sister Betty Ellis, son Donnell Lukerson, daughter Okema Solomon, and 5 grandchildren; Jameer, Donte, Kayla, Aniyah, and Caden. A visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Berceuse Funeral Home, 2609 Cunningham Dr., Hampton, VA. 23666. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony on Monday January 13, 2014.
