Sherwood David Hulon, 84, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Born in Latta, South Carolina, he served in the Army where he spent 2 ½ years as a POW during the Korean War. Sherwood is survived by his wife of 60 years, Addie Hulon; daughter, Cheryl Noggle; son, Steven Hulon and his wife, Angelique Hulon; three grandsons, Jonathan Hulon, Christopher Hulon and Jeremy Terry; and two sisters, Victoria "Dot" Mathews and Janet Holder both of South Carolina. Sherwood was adored by his family and a valued friend to many. He will truly be missed. The family will receive friends from 11-12 PM, Friday, August 15, 2014 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 Friday at the funeral home with interment to follow in Parklawn Cemetery.
