Sherrie Lynn Gainer, beloved wife, daughter, and devoted mother, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 8, 2013. Sherrie was co-owner of 20 Hope Street Salon in Phoebus and was a member of the Partnership for a New Phoebus. She was also a member of Phoebus United Methodist Church where she served as a youth minister.

Sherrie is survived by her husband, Patrick Lloyd Gainer; daughter, Erin Shelby Gainer; her parents, Arthur and Shelby Eldridge of Charlottesville; brother, Gordon Harvey Eldridge and wife Becky of Oregon, and their children, Brooke and Tyler; father-in-law, Patrick A Gainer; sisters-in-law, Mary Calame, Alice Standin, Tina Barton and Frances Davey; and a large extended family. A service of remembrance will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Phoebus United Methodist Church, 300 E. Mellen St, Hampton, VA by Rev. Robert E. Rough. The family will receive friends at the church following the service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to UMCOR, United Methodist Committee on Relief.
