Sherri Crosby Cottingham, 46, lost her long and courageous battle with cancer on Monday, May 9, 2016. Born in the Panama Canal Zone, Sherri grew up in Newport News and graduated in 1987 from Denbigh High School. She lived in Portsmouth and loved the beach and to travel.

Sherri was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edith Crosby. She is survived by her husband of fifteen years, Chris Cottingham; brothers, James Crosby and Chad Cowger; nephew and niece, Eason and Addison; and her dog Sabrina.

A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Friday, May 13, 2016 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton.

Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society in Sherri's name.
