Sarah E. Jenkins Hughes passed away February 6, 2015. The daughter of the late M. H. Jenkins and Dana Evans Jenkins, she was born June 25, 1919 and was a lifelong Peninsula resident. She graduated from Morrison High School (now Warwick High School). She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church of Newport News and was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School class, the Sarah Tatem Missionary Group and taught in the Children's Department as well as being a member of the Senior Adult Lunch Bunch. She retired from TRADOC at Ft. Monroe, VA In 1974 after 30 years of service and was a life member of NARFE. Sarah was preceded in death by her brother Roy F. Jenkins and is survived by a nephew Cecil R. Baines, Jr. and his wife Nancy, and a cousin Lloyd L. Evans as well as other cousins in the area. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Parklawn Memorial Park by Dr. Paul Lawson. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
