Sandra Warfield Brannon, forever "23 years old", died Monday, September 27, 2021. Born in 1943 in Columbia, SC, Sandra spent most of her life on the Peninsula. She graduated from Warwick High School and then received her bachelors and masters from Old Dominion University.

Sandra worked as a secretary for the Hampton City Schools. With over 30 years spent at Spratley Middle School, she finished her career in the School Board Office and retired in 2009. Following that retirement, she traveled the world with her husband, visiting every continent except Antarctica.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Brannon; daughter, Renee Shackleford Baldwin; step-sons, Robert E. Brannon Jr. (Natalie) and Ronald Brannon; grandchildren, Tyrin Dews, Dezma Hinton, Jacob Baldwin, Juree Dews, Rhonda Brannon, Caleb Hinton, Brianna Brannon, and Sara Brannon; aunts, an uncle, and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family requests that any memorials, take the form of contributions to the American Red Cross or the Peninsula Food Bank.
