Ruth Marie (Jablonski) Belcher, 70, of Hampton, VA went home to the waiting arms of Jesus on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 12:06 pm.  She was surrounded by family and friends and passed away peacefully.

In her younger days she worked as a nurse, a Religious Education Director, and a Recreation Coordinator for Persons with Disabilities at 5 Star Industries in Du Quoin, IL.

She spent the last 22 years living close to her family and spending quality time with her grandchildren.

She enjoyed traveling the world with Frank and their 3 children because of his military career.  Later in life with her children to places such as, Japan, Hawaii, Canada, Alaska, Europe and the Caribbean.  She enjoyed a motorcycle ride every chance she could.

She was a dedicated member of Restoration Church Phoebus Baptist in Hampton and enjoyed working with the children in Awana and Vacation Bible School.

She was born August 1, 1945 in Seattle, WA to Daniel D. and Alice M (Kinman) Jablonski.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Alice Eubanks, Step-Father Henry Eubanks, Father Daniel Jablonski, Step-Mother, Rosemary Jablonski and her ex-husband Frank Belcher who helped provide her with a life she loved.

She is survived by her 3 children-Michael Belcher of Stewartstown, PA,

Pamela and husband Bill Furrow of Hampton, VA and John and wife Cathy Belcher of Du Quoin, IL.  7 Grandchildren-Katherine, Helen, Hannah and Joseph Furrow of Hampton, VA, Julian Belcher of Newport News, VA, Elizabeth and Addison of Du Quoin, IL.  2 brothers, Carl and wife Laurie Eubanks of Nashville, IL, Daniel and wife Angel Jablonski of Toledo, OH and 1 sister, Donna Joann Scro of Du Quoin, IL.  Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

A service will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Restoration Church, 508 Fox Hill Road, Hampton, VA.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
