Ruby L. Lowrie, beloved Mother and "Nanny", passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013. Born on September 22, 1955 in Hartford, Maryland, she was a longtime Hampton resident. Ruby lived and loved the enjoyment of being with her grandchildren.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Helen Westfall. She is survived by her daughters, Christine (Bo) Mason, Amanda (Jesse) Davis; her grandchildren, Lexus, Madison, Bella and Sara all of Hampton; her sister, Jackie; and three brothers, Eddie, Hurl and Jack Jr.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM, Monday, December 30, 2013 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton.
