Roy Irvin Powell, 91, widower of Patsy C Powell, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. Born in Inez, NC, he has been a resident of Hampton since 1950, where he started Powell Realty in 1970 and remained active as the owner and operator of Powell Realty

Roy served in the US Army during World War II, was a Life Member and Former President of the Kiwanis Club in Hampton and he was also a member of Hampton Baptist Church.

Roy is survived by his sons, Gary I. Powell (Kay), Wayne S. Powell (Carolyn) and Patrick A. Powell (Crystal); brother, John G. Powell; grandchildren, Corinna, Jeremy and Teresa; and great-grandchildren, Derrick, Riley and Callie.

A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, July 9, 2018 at Hampton Baptist Church. The family wishes any expressions of sympathy to take the form of contributions to the Hampton Baptist Church Building Fund, 40 Kings Way, Hampton, VA 23669.
