Roy O. Davis, 82, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014. Born in Halifax County, VA, he lived many years in Newport News where he retired as a Designer from Newport News Shipbuilding.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Edward W. and Mozell C. Davis.; and brothers, Fred R. Davis and James E. Davis. He is survived by his wife, Joann B. Davis; son, Stephen R. Davis; brothers, Linwood B. Davis and Garnet B. Davis; and several very special nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton. The family will receive friends following the service until 3:30 PM.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to Dr. John Mattern and the staff at Virginia Oncology, the staff at Riverside Hospice, and staff at Riverside Gardens for their care and compassion during this time of need. Joann would also like to thank all of her close friends for the support and care given over the last two years.
